UK 2024 - March 19th London and Salamanca

This was our first full day in London. It was a busy one.

The Tower Bridge has never looked better.

Limehouse is near the bridge.

The one drawback is that there are two beds. Rhys is on the couch.

The view out the porthole. The water level is right around our ankles.

First view of the tower. We took the DMR tram from the marina to the Tower.

The Roman wall right outside the tube station.

The hidden Roman wall behind the hotel down the street.

1000 years old in the front and the tallest building in the UK in the background.

The White Tower.

This dragon is made out of weapons.

Model of the Tower of London.

Guards outside the crown jewels.

We visited the oldest church in London, which is right next to the tower.

This chapel is down in the basement.

Roman floor 30 feet under the street level.

The brick section was built after half of the church was destroyed in WWII.

We took the water taxi from the Tower to Westminster. I love the water taxi.

The Belfast.

The Globe Theater.

St. Stephen's tower in the distance.

The Eye.

Next step is Westminster Cathedral.

The King's booth

One of the typical monuments in the side chapels.

After the Cathedral we walked past Horse Guards, with a stop over to the park to see pink pelican's and the little cottage with a garden.

Horse Guards.

We then headed up the street to Trafalgar Square and from there over to Covent Gardens for dinner. We ate at Sushi and Sticks, which was an amazing sushi place.

Rum old fashioned

After dinner we walked over to the Covent Gardens shopping district.

Meanwhile, in Spain, Owyn got to go to Salamanca.
